Know the enemy
The climate is on the fleas' side
Fleas thrive in exactly the conditions the Northern Rivers supplies year-round: warmth, humidity, shaded gardens and plenty of hosts — pets, wildlife, and the neighbourhood's free-ranging animals. Down south, winter knocks flea populations back; up here they barely notice.
The trap most people fall into is treating only the pet: the adults on your dog are a sliver of the real population, while the eggs, larvae and pupae mature in carpet, floorboard gaps and shaded soil outside. A proper treatment hits every stage, indoors and out — and then the bites actually stop.
Did you know?
Wildlife are the region's great flea couriers — possums, bandicoots and strays reseed yards with flea eggs as they pass through at night. If your pets keep 'catching' fleas from nowhere, the nowhere is probably your garden.

How we break the cycle
Inside, outside, and timed with your pet's own treatment — the full loop, closed.

Indoors: every fibre they hide in
Carpets, rugs, floorboard gaps, pet bedding zones and under furniture treated with products that keep working as the next generations hatch.
Outdoors: the shaded nurseries
Under decks and houses, along fence lines, in sandy soil and the damp shade where the region's flea larvae actually develop — vital in a climate where outside never freezes them out.
Timed with the pet treatment
We coordinate with your vet-recommended pet product so home, yard and animal are covered in the same window — the combination that ends it.
Honest expectations
Cocooned pupae resist everything until they hatch, so stragglers for a week or two after treatment are normal — the residual treatment collects them as they emerge.

Frequently asked questions
No pets, but we're getting bitten — how?
Two usual suspects up here: a previous tenant's pets left dormant pupae that hatched when you moved in, or wildlife — possums and bandicoots — are seeding the yard overnight. Both are treatable, and the inspection tells us which story is yours.
Do you treat rural properties and acreage?
Yes — we focus on the areas that actually drive infestations: the house, verandahs, kennels, sheds and the shaded zones pets frequent. Blanket-spraying a paddock isn't necessary or sensible, and we'll be straight with you about that.
Is the treatment safe for my pets?
Yes — eco-friendly, pet-safe products, with clear guidance on when treated areas are ready for paws again. Pair it with your vet's flea product for the full result.
Anything I should do before you arrive?
A solid vacuum of carpets and pet areas genuinely helps — it lifts carpet pile and provokes pupae to hatch into the fresh treatment. We'll send simple prep notes when you book.
