The birds are under my solar panels — will proofing damage the panels?
No — solar proofing mesh clips around the panel perimeter without drilling or affecting the panels or warranty, and it keeps airflow underneath. It seals the gap birds nest in, which is the only permanent fix for that problem.
Why not just scare them away?
Deterrents like fake owls and reflectors work for days at best — birds quickly learn nothing bad happens. Physical exclusion is the only method with lasting results, which is why it's what commercial buildings use.
Are you allowed to remove any bird?
Pest species like feral pigeons and Indian mynas can be controlled. Native birds are protected, and if natives are nesting we'll tell you honestly what can and can't be done, and when — timing around fledglings often solves it legally and humanely.
What about the mess they've left?
